I looked how I was holding my pen when drinking tea - it was still in my hand but nib pointing upwards. My conclusion: some inks have a higher survace tension and with those very slick inner surface of the converters somehow the air can not get into the converter because the ink sits on the feed. But I love this pen so much, I don't want to part with it for another. I tinkered with the nib for hours/days, which only ever resulted in it getting to roughly 90% functionality—and some extra damage. It's just not working right, and I am accepting my lack of expertise. Lol I heard they use a #5 nib. Some say it's a JOWO nib. Correct cleaning: We recommend that you clean your fountain pen regularly - at the very least if the ink has dried up, when you are changing the ink colour, or if the flow of ink is slowing down. The rule of thumb: if you are using blue ink, clean your fountain pen approximately every three months. If your brush, soft chisel, or 1.5 mm bullet tip does fray, you can extend the life of the pen by reversing the tip. Simply pull the tip out with a pair of tweezers, then turn it around and reinsert it into the pen. This does not work with fineliner PITT Pens, calligraphy pens, or the larger bullet tips. Hold the tip of the pen to a flame for a few seconds to unclog the ink. Use a lighter, match, or candle to create a flame, then place just the very tip of your pen in the flame for a few seconds.
